Al Mudhaibi Zakat Committee Participates in the Third Zakat Conference and Exhibition: Strengthening Institutional Role and Community Trust
Reflecting its unwavering commitment to its pioneering role in promoting zakat and deepening community awareness, the Al Mudhaibi Zakat Committee actively participated in the third edition of the Zakat Conference and Exhibition, which began this morning, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, and will continue until the 25th of the same month at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate. The event, organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs under the theme "Zakat and Corporate Identity: Staff Efficiency and Strengthening Community Trust," witnessed broad participation, including 66 zakat committees from various governorates and provinces of the Sultanate of Oman, along with experts and representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as international organizations from within and outside the Sultanate.
Over three days, the conference will discuss 16 key dialogue sessions focusing on contemporary issues such as governance and accounting standards in zakat fund management, activating the role of women in zakat committees, and Sharia controls versus the professional competence of those working in this field. The event will also review the cultural identity of zakat institutions, community culture, and zakat jurisprudence in confronting modern-day challenges. It will also highlight successful Omani models of charity and zakat work, as well as inspiring international experiences.
The conference was accompanied by the opening of the accompanying exhibition, the largest of its kind in the region, showcasing the latest innovations and practices in zakat collection and distribution, strengthening partnerships and opening up horizons for future cooperation. #AlMudhaibiZakatCommittee
